Sadak 2 has been in the news for all the wrong reasons right now. The film and actress are being hurled comments due to the ongoing nepotism debate after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Bhatts have been facing a lot of criticism due to Mahesh Bhatt’s nasty comments on SSR.
Pooja Bhatt recently announced the final editing of Sadak 2 directed by Mahesh Bhatt, her father. The actress shared a GIF video on her social media handle to share the news. She captioned the tweet as “Mooood! #Sadak2 final edit locked and ready to be delivered to all key departments! (sic)”.
Her happiness was evident from the news but the angry SSR fans slammed her with the nepotism issue. One user wrote, “No one will watch it. Just saying” and another one said, “No one is going to watch this 98% Nepotistic movie”.
One of the users on social media said that her family’s statement on Sushant’s death was the reason enough for her to boycott the film. She wrote, “Mam! Sorry, but we aren’t going to watch it. Others may be boycotting it for nepotism but I’m boycotting it because of what your family has said about Sushant after his death, won’t be able to watch it now.”
The nepotism debate has been triggered on social media as people are sending hate messages and unfollowing all the star kids in Bollywood. Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and many other celebs claimed that they did not know Sushant and are mourning his death have been targeted by people.
It is not only the trollers who have stood up and have poured their hearts out on social media but many others who have unfollowed Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and many others who are a part of nepotism in Bollywood.
Sadak 2 is produced by Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He returned to direction after 20 years. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The Bhatts have decided to skip the theatrical release and opted for OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar.
