Love Aaj Kal 2 trailer was launched on 17th January 2020. In 2009, Imtiaz Ali gave a masterpiece in the form of Love Aaj Kal. The story of the film ran over two different eras starring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali khan. After a decade, the franchise continues with Sara Ali Khan, Saif’s daughter and Kartik Aaryan who romances Sara in the present and Arushi Sharma in the past.
Just like Love Aaj Kal, Love Aaj Kal 2 highlights the problems in relationships which exist in today’s times and contrasts them with the problems faced by a couple in the past. One story is set in 1990 and another in 2020. If we look at the trailer we observe that the three-minute trailer does not have any punch.
Kartik Aaryan looks out of character in the absence of his monologue and Sara’s dialogue delivery is very disappointing. The story of the movie also does not have any fresh perspective thus it is only a blatant remake with nothing new to look forward to. The audiences are also not very much impressed by the trailer and social media has received mixed reviews on the trailer.
