Shweta Pandit, the famous Bollywood singer, had got married to Italian film producer Ivano Fucci had been with her husband in Florence, Italy because of the coronavirus pandemic. The couple married in 2016 and welcomed a newborn in their house recently. Shweta gave birth to the baby in Italy.
The singer said “We’ve named her Izana, a name given as a title to the kind and compassionate monarchs in Ethiopia, and it means ‘most powerful’’. Shweta said that Izana was born on February 8 but the couple did not reveal the news as they thought it was not a good time tos share the news.
Shweta added “The COVID-19 crisis in Italy was worse than it is in India currently. But now that the lockdown here is almost getting lifted, Ivano and I decided to share our happiness.” Shweta is away from her family in Mumbai taking care of her husband and her baby. She is in touch with her family through video calls.
The singer said “The most challenging part is staying away from my own family through pregnancy and delivery. I never thought that I’d be able to take care of a newborn, but I’ve surprised myself. I’m learning a lot from my mother through video calls. My dadu (Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj), too, calls me everyday to check on us and see Izana.”
