The trailer of Sab Kushal Mangal was released on 3rd December 2019. The movie stars Akshaye Khanna, Riva Kishan (daughter of Ravi Kishan) and Priyaank Sharma who is the son of Padmini Kolhapure. The story of the film is set somewhere in Jharkhand. The film portrays Riva as a girl whose parents are searching for a suitable groom for her while Priyaank Sharma is in the role of a TV presenter in a news channel.
The two protagonists fall in love but their secret comes out through the mouth of Akshaye Khanna who is an old imposing figure and a local goon. In the trailer, we see Akshaye Khanna tries to win over Riva’s character by getting a makeover and threatening Priyanka. The smashing new wig makes Akshaye Khanna’s character stand out from others.
Akshaye Khanna has been slowly making a comeback after taking a break for four years. He played the role of an antagonist in Dishoom and also featured in Ittefaq, Mom, The Accidental Prime Minister and Section 375.
Brijendra Kala and Karan Vishwanath Kashyap who has directed the feature has also written the story. Sab Kushal Mangal is the directorial debut of Karan. He has earlier assisted Mani Ratnam in Raavan, Shimit Amin on Chak De! India and Shaad Ali on Bunty Aur Babli.
