Zakir Khan is an Indian writer, presenter, actor and stand-up comedian. He rose to fame in 2012 by winning India’s 3rd Best Stand Up Comedian Competition aired on Comedy Central. He has also been a part of On Air with AIB and his popular acts are Kaksha Gyarhvi and Haq Se Single streaming on Amazon Prime.
He also does ghostwriting for many radio shows and starred in Chacha Vidayak Hain Humare for which he was the writer. He is best known for his punchline Sakht launda which means a guy with a lot of self-control who cannot be cheated by cunning girls. He also hosted the 5th Golden Kela Awards.
Zakir’s comedy style was appreciated at NDTV Prime’s The Rising Stars of Comedy, a TV show. He has featured in Amazon’s One Mic Stand Season 1 with Bhuvan Bam. He has also started a podcast series Ummeed on Gaana where he shared the incidents he got inspired from, alongwith his other comedian friends.
