Abhishek Upmanyu is an Indian Stand-up comedian popular across the country. Abhishek Upmanyu videos have more than 2 million subscribers on YouTube. He was born and brought up in New Delhi. He has attended St. Xavier’s High School, Chandigarh and AKSIPS Chandigarh. He later went to Panjab University in Chandigarh for B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
After graduation, he worked in a few private companies. He has been an intern at Ranbaxy and Engineers India Limited at New Delhi. He joined HPCL Mittal Energy Limited in 2011 at Bhatinda and then Grail Research as a research analyst. He joined Bain and Co. in 2103 but left the company for pursuing a full-time career in stand-up comedy. He joined On Air with AIB as a writer in 2015.
He has a twitter handle called GareebGuy. He uploaded his first video in 2016 on YouTube titled Indian Insults and Comebacks. His two shows based on the comedy “Thoda Saaf Bol” and “Jealousy of Sabjiwala” were popular. He has performed shows both nationally and internationally.
