Shikara portrays the condition of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 into the Valley. Many of them were forced to leave their homes due to tense situations prevailing there. Shikara is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and introduces Sadia and Aadil Khan in lead roles. The movie is based on true events and shows the mass evacuation of Kashmiri Pandits in January 1990.
Shikara trailer opens with a young couple enjoying a moment of peace and love together when suddenly a fire breaks out in the neighbourhood and the woman rushes towards the window. She witnesses that the houses are being put on fire outside. The events started happening from January 1990 whereby 4 lakh Kashmiri Pandits had to leave their homes and the valley.
Shikara trailer portrays the struggle of Kashmiri Pandits at the refugee camps. The movie will be released on February 7 and the trailer was out on December 20. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, besides directing and producing the film has also written the screenplay of the film with Rahul Pandita and Abhijat Joshi.
