Nike logo had never been so right when you see a sensitive looking Jahnvi Kapoor playing real-life Gunjan Saxena and answering the critics with her work.
The trailer gives an introduction to the main cast and how a sensitive looking girl who had a passion for flying ended up flying recce and rescue missions for Indian Air Force during Kargil War and this was when female pilots were not commissioned by IAF and it is not easy for her as she is reminded at every step that she is a weak woman.
The movie is based on the life of Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena who was the first Indian woman in combat during the Kargil War and made history. The movie will be releasing on Independence Day weekend on Netflix. She accompanied by Flight Lieutenant Srividya Rajan flew Cheetah helicopters for casualty removal and reconnaissance for which they had to flow very close to Pakistani positions.
The movie has been directed by Sharan Sharma and will be featuring Ayesha Raza, Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij and Angad Bedi. Pankaj has also discussed about his character in the film as, “I liked the character very much. I am having a lot of fun while shooting for the film. Janhvi is a very sincere actress. She respects me a lot and I too respect her for the sincerity and commitment towards her work. Sharan is a very talented director and is well versed with his craft. It’s an opportunity to work under Dharma Productions.”
