A Cool Popcorn Entertainer With Gashmeer Mahajani Standing Out.

Shrikant Bashir Review is all about a terrorist organization, a pharma company owner and a mysterious virus are claiming the life of Mumbai residents and two investigating officers Shrikant Mhatre and Bashir Khan come forward to investigate the case. The title mentions the names of two officers of a SOT team and their efforts to bring an end to the epidemic happenings due to man-made virus.

Bashir and Shrikant have a completely different approach to the case. One likes to play by the books and the other can go to any lengths to bring out the loopholes in a case. Their goals even after the differences are always the same. Yudhistir Singh performs cluelessly as the body language and dialogue delivery is very casual. Gashmeer Mahajani showcased some promise in the beginning but pretty soon you start to observe over acting in the cheesy bollywood style . Mantra is an international thief Parker who gets very bad dialogues in the show and his act is not new or different from many villainous appearances in films.

Manish Chaudhary tries to save the act and women of the show including Pooja Gor, Ashmita Jaggi and Vivana Singh do not have any flesh in their characters. Paras Randhawa and Kewal Dasani also have very little to do in the show. Shrikant Bashir is a 14-hour saga that offers nothing new or meaningful.

Many backstories are out of context and the weak plot, poor performances and execution only bring the show down. The jumps are very quick which does not allow us to take any situation or character seriously. The narrative gets distracted and loses focus immediately.

It switches conveniently from the murder of an investigating officer to the rape of a bartender and a hacker’s attempt to get access to private records to a virus that causes many deaths in the city. Shrikant Bashir apart from the case debates about professional insecurities in a workplace and raises issues of biases but the show does not take the issues seriously nor do the viewers.

The show is all about the fight between the leads Shrikant & Bashir and both of them are like two kids who are yet to grow. The situational comedy is pathetic and the screen time is wasted on Shrikant Mhatre’s romantic flings where every woman desires for him and his attention. The web series does not look like it has been set in 2020.

All the female characters of the show are independently working in their professions but they look like cheerleaders in an IPL match who keep on boosting the male ego of men by offering useless advice and talking nonsense and doing their bit as eye candy. The terrorists look like goons having long hair, delivering cheesy punchlines and weaning funny costumes.

The cops are corrupt, politicians crooked and pharma companies head are very evil headed that they try to make money out of a crisis. The show is a fiction of COVID 19 scene with bioterrorism having an outfit but it has not been built properly. Action sequences are very bad, characters come in and go out and die purposelessly.

The dialogues about faith, religion and practice are least helpful. The plot is not justified and the 26 episodes are not very good. Shrikant Bashir has bad acting, storytelling and the execution is also very poor. The background music is not very new and an effort to not play music at critical points gives it some freshness but after some time it becomes repetitive.

The cinematography by Srinivas Ramaiah has good visuals but it is undeniable that the show has been made on a very tight budget. The action sequences have been taken from many Hindi films and are wanting in terms of newness. The 26 episodes seem extremely stretchable because 16 episodes would have been enough to tell the story.

The writing does not have much of a creative imagination and the execution by director Santosh Shetty is very bad. We have compiled Shrikant Bashir Ratings for your convenience.
