After delivering a blockbuster Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is back with Jersey. The actor has played the role of a cricketer in the film. Kapoor had to undergo a lot of training in order to prepare for his role.
As per recent reports, Shahid Kapoor has injured himself while shooting for the film. The actor was shooting a scene in Mohali stadium when a ball hit his mouth. The actor has got 13 stitches but is doing completely fine now. The actor will be taking rest for a few days as he has bruised his lower lip. Shahid will resume shooting as the swelling subsides and the wound gets cured.
Shahid Kapoor Injured made wife Mira Rajput go all the way to Mohali after hearing the news. After landing in Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor hid his face behind the mask to cover his injury. He was accompanied on the airport by Mira Rajput.
Jersey is the remake of a Telugu movie of the same name. The movie will be directed by Goutham Tinnauri who has directed the Telugu version with Nani in the lead role. The movie is a story of a 30 year old failed yet talented cricketer who returns to the field as he is driven by the passion for the game and to gift his son a jersey.
The Hindi version of the film also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor and is presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Dil Raju and Aman Gill. The movie will be released in August 2020.
