The Pay-parity issue debate has been a problem for a while now, especially in Bollywood. Over the years, actresses like Deepika, Kangana, Sonam and now Priyanka chopra have voiced their opinions about the gender pay gap which is faced by women in every profession.
Priyanka speaks about this issue and says “I think gender pay gap is a global issue. It exists in every profession, not just Hollywood or Bollywood. And my appearance in the top 10 list of Forbes in 100 celebrity list highlights the same problem”
She also added, “ I feel really blessed about the fact that I am at that position at least at some point I am on the same level as my male counterparts are but at the same time. I also feel upset about the fact that there are no actresses on the top 10 list”
