Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has announced on social media that her upcoming film The White Tiger will entertain as well as make the viewers uncomfortable at the same time. The film has been directed by Ramin Bahrani who has previously filmed 99 Homes and Farhenheit 451. The White Tiger is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s novel having the same name.
The first look of the film The White Tiger was shared by the actress on 16th October 2020 which also features Rajkummar Rao and a newcomer Adarsh Gourav. The movie shows Balram’s journey of survival and his journey of becoming a successful businessman from a poor villager.
Priyanka Chopra is in the role of Pinky Madam who is a first generation immigrant in the US. The movie has been produced in association with Mukul Deora and Chopra and Ava DuVernay, an Emmy award winning director, are executive producers of the movie. The tweets by Priyanka Chopra had created controversy among people as she wrote about the movie in detail but didn’t mention the author’s name anywhere in the posts.
