According to reports, Piyush’s father and estranged wife Akanksha Rawat had no idea of his arrest. And also according to reports believed by Times of India, his sister actress Meher Vijwas unaware of this as well.
Shocked by this news, Meher, who recently acted in Secret Superstar, said that she had not been in touch with her brother ever since he got married. “I have got to know this from you. When did this happen? I don’t know anything at all,” Meher told the daily.
The actress, who also played the role of a protagonist’s mother in Salman Khan starrer movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, further added, “You know I haven’t been able to get in touch with my father too, so I do not know anything about this. Actually, Piyush and I haven’t been in touch at all ever since he got married. His wife had some issues, so I chose to back off. Whatever contact we have had, has been only through our father since then.”
Piyush, 35, was reported, two-timing his girlfriend from a show that he did in the past, with another TV actress.
A source has been in a report as saying, “Piyush recently went for a holiday with the actress where they got sexually involved with each other. After getting back from the holiday, he chose to end the relationship. Meanwhile, the actress had become a little serious about him. But with his negligent behaviour, she got infuriated. Piyush blackmailed her, by threatening to leak private pictures of her over the internet. The actress paid no attention. This irked Piyush who actually did leak a few pictures of her over the internet”
Piyush will remain in police custody till November 27, 2017, and won’t be given bail till then. He has played important roles in tv shows like Geet and Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.
