Sushant Singh Rajput is not having happy days lately. He played the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in the biopic of the former captain of the Indian cricket team, last year.
While Sushant did seem to make a big impact on the box office with MS Dhoni The Untold Story, the film went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2016, and Sushant Singh Rajput’s highest-grossing film ever. But the people judging the awards’ shows don’t seem to be much impressed with his performance. Sushant Singh Rajput has missed out on most of the Best Actor awards.
When asked about what Sushant had to say about seeing other actors picking up the Best Actor trophy at the award shows, he said, “I won’t lie. If I’m there to witness the awards, I do feel slightly awkward when I don’t win. A bit of acknowledgement from you folks could be a nice feeling.”
However, the MS Dhoni Star also highlighted the fact that awards don’t affect his work. He said, “Having said that, me getting or not getting an award does not in any manner affect the way I go about my next project or my equation with my work.”
