Iris Mittenaere the 24-year-old women from Paris who won the Miss Universe title for the year 2017, was totally “surprised that she won and felt Blessed”.
The Winning lady, who is pursuing her degree in dental surgery, mentioned On the Miss Universe website that “she wanted to advocate on dental and oral hygiene” if she won.
“Miss Universe was a dream, every girl wants to be Miss Universe…the stage is amazing, everything is amazing,” and “I want to help people, I want to understand people, I want to meet people, that’s why this is a dream for me.” Said Iris.
The first runner-up is Raquel Pelissier of Haiti, while the second runner-up is Andrea Tovar of Colombia.
Thirteen of the contestants were picked for the swimsuit round for the finals after a preliminary competition, before being cut down to nine for the evening gown segment, and then to six.
The top six contestants were Maxine Medina of the Philippines, Chalita Suansane of Thailand and Mary Esther Were of Kenya and the other three girls.
