Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar’s latest collaborated project has been on the news since quite a while now for various reasons.
Firstly, the star cast of the film now titled ‘Shiddat’ included Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. However, after the demise of Sridevi, it was a complicated situation for the makers to seek a replacement. But, fortunately, Madhuri Dixit has been finalized for the role. The news was confirmed by Sridevi’s daughter Jahnvi on her social media.
Moreover, what made the situation more complex was the casting of Madhuri Dixit while Sanjay Dutt is a part of the project. As per a source, “There is no way Madhuri will work with Sanjay Dutt. They parted ways as friends and colleagues in 1993 after Subhash Ghai’s Khalnaayak, vowing never to be associated again. Now that Madhuri has taken over Shiddat from Sridevi, it is evident that Dutt will be eased out.” Madhuri even asked the director of the film of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic to leave any reference related to her left out, from the film.
