When we recollect yester-years of the late 1980s and mid-’90s, the one popular on-screen pair that literally ruled over our the hearts on the silver screen was undoubtedly Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor. A Bollywood career spanning more than two decades, both these stars have worked together in almost about as close to 19 films — Ram Lakhan, Beta, Parinda, Kishen Kanhaiya, Tezaab, and Pukar to name a few from the lot. After a long time, we hear speculations of the two in another movie helmed by Indra Kumar.
According to a recent report, Indra Kumar has approached Madhuri to star in his forthcoming venture Total Dhamaal, which is his third sequel in the ‘Dhamaal’ film franchise. Along with this news, we hear that Anil Kapoor might also be featuring in the film romantically paired opposite, as the lead actor, to Dixit.
Dhamaal was a successful comedy film which was out in 2007, starring, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jaaved Jaffrey, Arshad Warsi and Aashish Chaudhary; and then in 2011, we saw the sequel which featured Kangana Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat along with the original male cast.
Madhuri and Anil were last seen Rajkumar Santoshi-directed social drama Lajja, which released in 2001.
