Karan Johar, who is a filmmaker, had become a father of two last February to twins Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, has opened up a creche at his office in Andheri for his kids. Karan, who owns the Dharma Productions, has taken this step so he can spend more time with the twins. The crèche is also open to his employees of the production house, who can also leave their children there. “Yash and Roohi are eight-months-old. I don’t get enough time to see them during the day. So, I have a spacious room for them here (in my office). They will feel like they’re coming to a special place,” Karan Johar, 45, told mid-day. “Anybody (employees) who has a kid is welcome to bring him/her here,” he added.
The creche has been created in a room that can host up to 15 babies at one time. There is a childcare expert present at all times, and the kids will be under supervision. As of now, the creche is not open for children below three years of age. “Both, fathers and mothers can bring their babies to the creche while they are at work. “There are a lot of different toys available, The company is looking out for nannies who can take care of the older kids as well.” Gauri Khan is the designer of the nursery for Yash and Roohi.
