Karan Johar shared a new image of his upcoming production ‘Dhadak’. Looking at Janhvi Kapoor, who is the daughter of Sridevi, we totally see the resemblance in the image that he shared. Ishaan Khattar, half brother of Shahid Kapoor, is paired alongside Jahnvi in the film. The picture shows them against a Shah Jahani arch on the steps which looks to be a monument of the sort, it looks like a mix romance and modernity. Janhvi is dressed in a black and gold lehenga- choli and a bright red dupatta, while Ishaan is dressed in humble casual clothes.
The film is an adaptation to the Marathi film called Sairat (2016), a romance between a higher caste girl and lower caste boy, set in the countryside. Sairat went on to becoming a big Marathi hit, grossing over Rs 100 crore worldwide, according to Wikipedia. It was directed by Shashank Khaitan, who has made his films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the film is expected to take the audience into a heartful romance.
While this is the Janhvi’s big debut. Ishaan will be seen in Majid Majidi’s film ‘Beyond The Clouds’, which will open the International Film Festival of India this year.
