The fire that broke out at Kamala hills in Mumbai was a massive disaster claiming 14 lives and drew attention to various other important issues that a vast majority of the public is turning a blind eye to.
The incident had even prompted the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to go on a spree with officials being suspended, Illegal structures being demolished and a lot of eateries coming under the scanner.
However, Actress and Member of Parliament Hema Malini had a totally different take on the whole situation that had occurred. When asked why such tragedies are occurring on a regular basis the actress responded “Populations is so much, the city is spreading like anything.
Restrictions should be done on the population. Each city should have population/limit, after that they should not be allowed. Then let them go to a different city.”
Although she is entitled to her own views and in some ways they do make sense, the Twitterati had a different opinion and vented their anger towards the actress
