Farhan Akhtar an actor/producer was born on Jan 9, 1974. He started his career at an early age, he is the son of Javed Akhtar. Farhan is the son of Javed Akhtar’s first wife Honey Irani. He is terrified of his mother even till today. During his childhood, his mother had once told him that he does nothing in life then he would be thrown out of the house.
Farhan left education while he was in the second year of his graduation. After which he started his own production house in association with Ritesh Sidhwani. His company has made films like Raees, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara etc. He has suffered the Hindu Muslim riots in Mumbai during 1992-93.
Farhan started as an assistant director at the age of 17. He is a huge fan of American actor Robert De Niro.
