Dilit Dosanjh has supported farmers for their protest against farm bills which can make them slaves to capitalism. The singer and actor had supported the decision of farmer organizations to hold a nationwide bandh on 25th September 2020.
The actor has posted many updates on social media where he is supporting farmers. There are three bills – the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, the Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020 which have been recently passed by the parliament related to farmers.
Dosanjh wrote on Instagram on 25 september, “We all withstand the farmer community. Every single person of all age groups from Punjab is standing with the farmers.” and the post went on to also discuss the removal of Punjabi language from Government languages. He also said that the farmers should be talked to whether they feel the bill is favourable for them or not. The singer has recently released a single GOAT which has topped the global charts.
