Director Mahesh Bhatt has launched the Sadak 2 poster starring Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt on 29th June 2020 on social media and was immediately trolled and hated for the same. It is his comeback directorial film after a long time.
After the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhatt has been in the news on social media where he is blamed for promoting nepotism and snatching the chances from outsiders. The hatred and anger of common people flooded the comment section of the filmmaker’s latest update.
“Guy who declared 26/11 as RSS ki Sazish and his own son helped terrorists to identify the places, tried to declare Sushant as mentally unstable, having relationship with lady younger than her daughter’s daughter, lowest scum possible…Don’t know why this guy is not in jail,” declared a user.
“When you put END to someone”s life intentionally, you’ll soon release your END,” wrote another user.”We are not interested… get lost,” said another user. A user shared the poster of the last film going to be released on OTT Dil Bechara. Another user started a poll between Dil Bechara and Sadak 2.
Alia also shared the poster on her Instagram profile but limited her comment section smartly. Only one comment can be seen. Alia’s co-star Aditya Roy Kapur shared the poster on his handle and was trolled badly.
Aditya, the youngest brother of producer Siddarth Roy Kapur was faced with hate speech spewed at Alia Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. “Boycott Sadak 2. Boycott Alia Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt,” a user wrote.”Sorry bro isme Alia Bhatt hai, hum nahi dekhenge (This film features Alia Bhatt and I am not going to watch it),” another user declared.
Sadak 2 is the continuation of 1991’s hit movie Sadak directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The sequel brings back lead pair of the film Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt and stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Sadak 2 marks the return of Mahesh Bhatt to direction after 20 years.
It has been confirmed on 29th June that the makers have decided to go for OTT premiere on Disney Hotstar and skipping the theatrical release due to current situation.
