As per the unlock 5.0 guidelines by the Home Ministry, the theatre owners and movie makers have been allowed to operate with 50% capacity with effect from October 15. The new guidelines have been released by MHA on 30th September 2020. SOP or Standard Operating Procedure for the same will be released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Cinema halls were shut down when the coronavirus cases were on a rapid rise. The halls were shut down on March 14 after which a nationwide lockdown was announced.There has been a delay in the release of many big films in theatres due to pandemic. People are eagerly waiting for the release of Sooryavanshi, ‘83 and few Hollywood movies like No Time To Die and Tenet.
