Gunjan Saxena – The Kargi Girl is the story of India’s first woman Air Force officer. The lead role is being played by actress Jahnvi Kapoor. She took to her Instagram handle and announced the release date of the film. It will be streaming on Netflix from August 12. The actress wrote a note on being an important part of the film and playing the character.

She wrote, “Proud to bring to you the story of India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. A journey that I hope will inspire you the way that it has inspired me. Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl is landing on 12th August to your Netflix screens.” (sic)

The film also features Pankaj Tripathi as her father and Angad Bedi. The move was to be released in halls on March 6 but was later postponed to April 24. It will now be streaming online due to coronavirus lockdown. The actress will also feature in Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan and debutant Lashya.

She will also be seen in Karan Johar’s Takht. The movie will also be featuring Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The movie is going to be released on December 24, 2021.
