Deepika Padukone arrives at NCB office located in Mumbai Port Trust’s Guest House, Colaba. She has been summoned in regard to a drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Padukone who was shooting in Goa returned to Mumbai with hubby Ranveer Singh on Thursday.
She was sent the summon by the agency on Wednesday and acknowledged the same on Thursday. Sharddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were also summoned on Wednesday. Sara Ali Khan & Shraddha Kapoor are also set to appear before the NCB officials today.
Karishma Prakash, Deepika’s manager and Shruti Modi, former manager of Sushant were also questioned on 25th September 2020. Prakash has been called by the agency again on 26th September 2020.
The NCB started investigating the case after it received a letter from ED or Enforcement Directorate about a drug nexus active in Bollywood. The ED had registered an Enforcement Case Information Report on July 31 related to the death of Sushant after his father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty on July 28 in Bihar. Chakraborty has been arrested in the drug case. Sushant passed away on June 14 at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
