Bellbottom a thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor will be filmed in United Kingdom in August as per the makers’ announcement on Monday. The movie has been filmed by Ranjit M Tewari and is about a forgotten hero of India. The setup of the story is in the 1980s. “Looking forward to doing what we do best! Time we get back to work! #Bellbottom to go on floors next month,” Akshay tweeted.
According to a source, Bellbottom’s team including Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi will be leaving for the UK for the film’s schedule. The movie is to be produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Madhu Bhojwani, Monisha Advani and Nikkhil Advani. The movie is written by Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arrora.
The tentative release date of the movie will be on April 2, 2021. Bellbottom is one of the first films which is resuming shoots after the coronavirus lockdown which suspended production activities across the country. Director Sanjay Gupta’s gangster drama Mumbai Saga will also resume shooting this month in Hyderabad.
