With the #MeToo movement catching fire in the Bollywood industry. But, recently a Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi has allegedly accused famous singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment. Shafi wrote to Twitter in a post and said, “despite being an empowered, accomplished woman who is known for speaking her mind”.
Later, Ali Zafar replied to her tweet denying all the allegations and said, “I intend to take this through the courts of law… rather than to lodge any allegations here, contesting personal vendettas on social media, and in turn disrespecting the movement (#MeToo),”
Both the artists have gained much popularity in India due to the Coke Studio (Pakistan)outings and film work. Meesha shot to fame with her song Jugniji with folk singer Arif Lohar.
