Nation Mourns The Death Of Iconic Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam

SP Balasubrahmanyam (aged 74), the iconic playback singer, passed away on September 25, 2020. The singer was admitted to MGM Healthcare (Chennai) post detection of positive Covid 19 test. Officials at the hospital stated that the singer was surviving on life support. On Wednesday, SP Balasubramanyam had a mild fever & the hospital authorities confirmed that the singer was in severe critical condition. SP Balasubramanyam was previously stated to have reacted well to the medication & was also supposed to be discharged soon. The country is in shock after having lost a celebrated singer and fans of SP Balasubramanyam are in sorrow. 

SP Balasubrahmanyam is considered to be one of the most accomplished singers in the Indian music industry having sung 1000+ songs in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu & Kannada film industry. Singer was popular among multiple generations of people. SP Balasubrahmanyam was honoured by the Government of India for its contribution to cinema with the Padma Shri (2001) & Padma Bhushan (2011).

Bollywood famous songs like ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’, ‘Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai’, ‘Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali’ & ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein were sung by none other than SP Balasubrahmanyam. Entire film industry is in shell shock and reactions are floating from celebrities of various film industries.
