Sadak 2 directed by Mahesh Bhatt and featuring Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt has been released online. Despite all the negative reviews received by the audience, the album of the movie is great.
The movies of Mahesh Bhatt have complex characters and stories. His love stories are also not very happy ones. However, as far as the music goes the album of all his movies have been a blockbuster. Let us see whether the album of Sadak 2 will be able to maintain the stature.
Tum Se Hi
The song will remind you of Tu Hai Ki Nahi sung by Ankit Tiwari in the movie Roy. It is a good song which will grow on you. The lyrics are also very easy to remember. Ankit Tiwari has sung the song beautifully and at the end, you hear Leena Bose’s vocals which add melody to the song.
Shukriya
The voice of Jubin Nautiyal gives you goosebumps as the song starts. The song is hauntingly beautiful with hard-hitting and meaningful lyrics. The song is not ideal to listen to every time but it can easily become the favourite of the audience.
Dil ki Purani Sadak
The song is composed by Samidh Mukherjee and beautifully sung by KK. The song takes you to a journey in your head. It is mainly about departure or separation. The song has a violin segment which is beautiful.
Chal Tera Shukriya
The song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and is the female version of Jubin Nautiyal’s Shukriya. Her voice strikes a chord with you and makes you grateful for your life.
Ishq Kamaal
The voice of Javed Ali can bring a smile on your face and lighten your mind. Even with this song, it happens. This is a romantic track and something which Javed has not sung before but the melody of the song makes it lovely.
Purani Sadak (Reprised by KK)
The reprise version of the song is much slower as compared to the original song. The song can be used in a significant moment during the film.
Shukriya (Reprised by Jubin and KK)
The song is another reprise track from the movie and the surprise element of the song is KK. His intensity and voice go well with Jubin’s voice. The song can be in your midnight playlist when you are deep in thoughts or good memories.
Dil ki Purani (Unplugged by Samidh Mukherjee)
The song is sung by Samidh Mukherjee and is very different. The voice of Samidh strikes an emotional chord with people. This song might become a lost gem in the album despite being very beautiful.
Overall, the songs of Sadak 2 are good enough to strike with the audience but it is important to use them according to situation and emotion. The songs will become memorable in the minds of the audience in no time.
