Shakuntala Devi trailer starring Vidya Balan has been released. Vidya Balan is in the role of mathematician and the movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 31. The trailer shows Shakuntala Devi’s journey as a child prodigy to gaining recognition as a human-computer and recording her name in Guinness Book of World Records.
The trailer’s last part shows her personal life where she struggles with parenting and her love for maths. There is a bittersweet relationship shown in the trailer between Shakuntala Devi and her daughter featuring Sanya Malhotra. Vidya gave her fans a maths equation to solve if they wanted to watch the trailer.
Vidya spoke about Shakuntala Devi as, “She was truly someone who embraced her individuality, had a strong feminist voice and braved many a naysayer to reach the pinnacle of success.
