Bulbbul Trailer Review – Extremely Unique & Clutter Breaking

After gaining immense success with Paatal Lok streaming on Amazon Prime, Anushka Sharma has unveiled the much-awaited Bulbbul Trailer. It is about a child bride who grows to become a mysterious female ruler in the household. However, she has a painful past in which one is related to unexplained murder of men. It is very clear that Bubbul is behind them despite Netflix trying its best to cover the mystery. It is a supernatural period thriller which brings on the legend of chudail which is Hindi for witch and Netflix calls it demon woman in the subtitles of the Bulbbul Trailer

Bulbbul has been written and directed by Anvita Dutt, a lyricist and dialogue writer who is making her debut as a director through this movie. Bulbbul stars Tripti Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, Rahul Bose and supporting roles of Paoli Dam and Parambrata Chatterjee. It has been produced by Anushka and Karunesh Sharma’s production house Clean Slate Films.

Anushka said, “From the moment I heard Bulbbul, we immediately wanted to produce it. It is a fascinating, captivating, cinematic story dipped in folklore which we instantly fell in love with. Anvita’s storytelling is extremely unique and with Bulbbul she is giving audiences something really clutter-breaking.”

Anvita added, “For me, the story of Bulbbul is a lore. A fable. Much like the fairy tales of old that were cautionary tales for young girls. Stories that, wrapped in magic and myth, asked us to look beyond the obvious and warned us not to be a version of what others want to see in us. We sometimes forget that it is important for us to accept ourselves the way we are, and I hope this film will act as a reminder of that.”

Bulbbul is the seventh original Netflix film from India in 2020. It has been released after Ghost Stories directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Bannerjee, Yeh Ballet, a dance drama by Sooni Taraporevala, Guilty produced by Karan Johar and starring Kiara Advani, Maska a rom-com, mystery-thriller Mrs. Serial Killer and Anurag Kashyap’s Choked. Bulbbul will be released on June 24 on Netflix in India and internationally.
