Sonakshi Sinha has been constantly trolled for her lack of knowledge of the epic Ramayan. Shaktiman actor Mukesh Khanna recently targeted Sonakshi on social media by saying that the reruns of the show are being done so that people like Sonakshi will get to know what happened in the mythology. The actress could not answer a question based on Ramayana asked on the show Kaun Banega Crorepati some time back.
It now seems that the actress is fed up with those trolling her for her lack of knowledge through question-answer sessions on Ramayana on her Instagram profile. She had finally issued a statement on her social media handle saying “Lots of you have Ramayan related questions, please watch it on Doordarshan and you will get all your answers. Jai Bajrang Bali!”
Shatrughan Sinha has earlier defended Sonakshi by saying “I believe someone has a problem with Sonakshi not answering a question on the Ramayana. Firstly what qualifies this person to be an expert on all things to do with the Ramayana? And who has appointed him the guardian of the Hindu religion.”
The series has been directed by Ramanand Sagar and featured Deepika Chikalia as Sita, Arun Govil as Ram and Sunil Lahri as Lakshman. The show also has Arvind Trivedi as Ravana and Late Dara Singh as Hanuman. The show had been telecasted originally on Doordarshan from 25 January 1987 to 31 July 1988.
