The postponed release of Padmavati has no effect in Ranveer Singh’s life, as he seems to be is moving on. The actor was recently spotted along with co-star Alia Bhatt on Monday, visiting Zoya Akhtar the director. The two were supposedly there to discuss their upcoming film Gully Boy, where Ranveer will be seen playing the role of a rapper.
“Ranveer is keen to move on,” said a source. “He has already committed dates to Zoya for the film, and hence can’t let everything wait. He has already asked to not give any media interviews for Padmavati before the release. And after the indefinite postponement of the movie, he cannot let other films, including Gully Boy, suffer, because he’s a thorough professional. The Padmavati shoot already meant that Gully Boy’s pre-production work was under stress. And this postponement will not let it be hampered further. Thankfully, everyone in the film industry — including Zoya — understands how Sanjay Leela Bhansali works. So they have given Ranveer a lot more space.”
Ranveer’s character in the film Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of Naezy and Divine, who are rappers. The actor had to refuse Shimit Amin’s movie due to his other commitments. Ranveer’s PR managers have made no comments about it.
